The Opera Garnier is one of the most flamboyant examples of Second Empire architecture in France, with an eclectic and ostentatious Baroque design. Take advantage of a quick and easy entrance to this magnificent structure located in the heart of Paris with your skip-the-line ticket.

The architect, Charles Garnier, designed the largest opera house in Europe which opened its doors in 1875. Its features include the pleasing sight of writhing snakes in the bronze “Pythonisse” sculpture and a climb up the double stairway of the “Grand Escalier” (Main Staircase).

The crinolines brush against your legs as you take in the intricate decorations and explore the immense foyers, teeming with lustrous mosaics, brilliantly-hued marble columns, and extravagant gold leaf flourishes. Your gaze is constantly drawn to new areas of beauty.

The operating hours are from 10am to 5pm daily. Visitors should come 45 minutes before closure.

Opera Garnier is not open on daytime performances, exceptional closure and during summer.
