Access the area of the Chancel where a sarcophagus contains the holy relics of Saint Mark the Evangelist preserved here since year 828. Follow me to admire the famous Golden Altarpiece visible only to few like you!
Access the upper external terrace where you'll have the most amazing view on St. Mark's Square! From here I'll illustrate you the history and functions of the main sites of the "Piazza".
Admire the original four Horses, stolen by the Venetians in 1204 during the conquest of Byzantium.
ITINERARY
Meeting Point: At the entrance of the Museo Correr
Stop 1: Historical explanation of the erection of the church from the outside
Stop 2: Enter St. Mark's Basilica with Skip the Line tickets
Stop 3: Enter the Presbytery and admire the Golden Altarpiece and see where the relics of Saint Mark the Evangelist are preserved
Stop 4: Access the external upper terrace of the Basilica of St. Mark
Stop 5: Admire the original Four gilded Horses
Stop 5: Have an amazing view over St. Mark's Square

Meeting Point Options: Monument/Building, Suggested by Guide: At the entrance of the Museo Correr, under the porticoes of the Napoleonic Wing, at the western side of Saint Mark's Square.

Saint Mark's Basilica is a place of worship.
Dress code: no shorts, no miniskirts, no sleeveless, no bare shoulders. No pictures are allowed. Backpacks not allowed in the Basilica but can be dropped in its cloackroom.
St. Mark's Basilica may be closed without notice in case of unscheduled religious services. In case of floods and from Nov. 1 to April 30 there is just one access to enter the Basilica.
