Starting at the cradle of middle-age Berlin on the River Spree, towards "Museum Island", Humbold University, BRANDENBURG GATE, the Reichstag Parliament area, followed by Eisenman's ''Holocaust Memorial'', to the new Potsdam Square.
Beyond we will see an original piece of the BERLIN WALL, the "Topography of Terror" (SS / GESTAPO Documentation Center) and ending at the legendary CHECKPOINT CHARLIE.
ITINERARY
On our way we will pass through different centuries of Berlin's history.
After the Kings and Emperor period, a lot of places are linked to modern times, like the cold war, 3rd Reich, Germany's reunification, the new "Berlin Republik" since the 90's, A photo stop at the BRANDENBURG GATE of course, also a brief historic overview about the nearby REICHSTAG Building. Now the Parliament of Germany.
We will pass through a section of Mr. Eisenman's "Holocaust Memorial". He said, "go in and find out what the meaning of my work is". This means, you should better not suffer from Claustrophobia.
200 meters ahead, we visit a certain car parking place. Why? There under your feets, there are the last remains of HITLERS BUNKER! (There is no entrance anymore. )
So load your cameras, there's a lot of images on the way!
