Mountain Zugspitze
Just 90km from Bavaria, with an altitude of nearly 3,000 meters and the highest church in Germany and a romantic igloo village, Zugspitze is a great spot for families in the winter or for skiing this Christmas season.

Starting from Zugspitz Garmisch-Partenkirchen railway station, you can go by gear train for about 70 minutes through the village of Grainau on the romantic lake Eibsee, then through the Zugspitz mountain tunnel to Zugspitzplatt. From there, the Gletscherbahn cable car will take you to the highest mountain in Germany.
